Gartner, Inc. positions MessageLabs in the Leaders Quadrant in its 2008 Magic Quadrant for the Email Security Boundaries (anti-spam, anti-virus, content filtering, email encryption, intrusion prevention) market.

Gartner describes vendors in the leaders quadrant as follows: "Leaders are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market. Companies in this quadrant offer a comprehensive and proficient range of email security functionality, and show evidence of superior vision and execution for current and anticipated customer requirements.
